A hopeful addition to my store

Well as of this am, he's not settled in just yet. But, I hope to add this fine rooster to my store soon. I created him for a friend of mine who has been a super gent in sending my calendars the last two years. I couldn't be more grateful. But, I certainly got behind on my end of the deal! I have a new book project with Arnica Creative I'm illustrating a children's book for them. And, well these things take time! I'd like to introduce Animals In Color, I fell in love with the bright concepts and shapes of Sebastiano Ranchetti creative critters and knew my kitchen would be a much happier place to adorn his work! I have so many favorites. Please take time to view his shop and his other site as well to see his digital art. I'm sure you'll find some favorites of your own!

Okay, I'm not a fan of this 'man-boob', but am in total love with this hedgehog photo. What a cutie pie! I saw these on etsy this am and had to look them up tonight and add them to my bloggie. Check out Ellusim's shop with the etsy link above and see what other cool creations she has.

Head down and PEN down!

This is another component from one of my sample custom stationery packs created from my friend Rowan's artwork. Creating these stationery packs are so fun for me especially when I can take something totally abstract and ad a few simple elements to make funky creatures such as this gator face. Then I added flowers and ground cover by creating a pattern with some of Rowan's painting. These cards really did turn out fabulous!

I have been extremely busy with the many freelance projects. They are each so different and so exciting, I can't wait until they are completed and I can show them off! One of them is doggie for sure! I'm really savoring the process, I hope it's not getting tiresome for the project's creator! I can't help it, I'm really not sure anyone enjoys illustration, creation and design more than I possibly do! Another is a soothing babe to work on, pure bliss! And, another is Namely, fabulous and creative. Does that share enough information? Probably not, but I had to post something in my bloggie blog. It was beginning to snap at me when I surfed past it to read other blogs.

We have family visiting this week, we are so excited. Charlie's brother, wife and daughter are coming for a week. They are coming from Twin Falls, Idaho, and need to see the green life of Montana! We might even drive into the greener part of Idaho for a day float too. Which is one of my favorite things to do.

Lush Lush Kitters in a Fathric World-Print

Our daughter still has a difficult time saying fabric, she's eleven. With a skilled roll of her little tongue, it would always come out fath-er-ic with a short 'a' sound. When we had our son I would correct every word until we had our daughter, then I leaned that they will learn to say things correctly eventually. So, the super cute ones...I didn't correct.This is an 8 x 10 image printed on 8.5 x 11 heavy matte finish paper. I worked as a textile designer for a while and the digital flower patterns used in this piece were from that venture. Lush Lush Kitters in a Fabric World would work great in a child's room but that's not all...you'll find a great place for it!

Illustration Friday --Snap!

I have been working on some new stationery products and one of them features this cute little Gator---snappy ain't she? I was glad to see my current project fits with Illustration Friday because it has been so long since I've been able to participate! So, yay!
